I know I’m not the only one in the world who hates public speaking… But it still makes me nervous to talk in front of people. Even more so when it’s people that know what I’m talking about. Tomorrow morning I have to do a mock speaking engagement at the shelter, to the directors of the shelter, about the shelter. Yikes!!!
I’ve taken public speaking, I was the president of my Toastmaster’s program. In middle school. Yet, everytime I get up to speak in front of people, my heart races. I know most of it is in my head because I aced public speaking and was chosen to speak at a competition for public speaking.
I love theater, and never had a problem acting in front of people, so why so nervous with public speaking? Ah, I wish I knew…
Anyone else in the same boat as me when it comes to public speaking? Any funny stories?
